The 2014 Year Book by World Book Encyclopedia includes five new Portraits, including Roger Ebert, influential movie critic; Abigail Van Buren (Dear Abby), famous syndicated advice columnist; Van Cliburn, American pianist who enjoyed worldwide fame in the early days of the Cold War by winning a Soviet piano competition; Douglas C. Engelbart, inventor of important computer advances, including the mouse; and Stan “the Man” Musial, one of the greatest baseball players of all time and a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
